This quote says it all for me
by: Ollie B

Past the seeker as he prayed came the crippled and the beggar and the beaten.
And seeing them...he cried, "Great God, how is it that a loving creator can see such things and yet do nothing about them?"

God replied, " I did do something...I made You."

Being different
by: Nancy Meyer

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square hole. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

This quotation inspires me to work to change my world!

Just go with it
by: Caro Be

"If you do not take the risk, you won't win." (Anonymous)

I think the greatest quote is this one, because we can relate it with any moment in our lives. Just think about it. You won't achieve great things and any of your goals if you do not take the risk. Live your life as you wish and not as it is best for you. Take the risk, do not stand firmly in the floor, try flying and jumping.

Happiness is achieved when you fulfill your dreams, when you enjoy every second of your life. You will achieve it if you are able to leave behind your fears and insecurities and risk your life for all the things you always wanted to have, to do or to see. Just go with it.

Everything thing in this world have purposes: experience, to learn; tolerance, to be patient; advice, to be wise; etc. Advice, a simple word with big impact on our lives, and overlook by some of us.
We fail to hear advices, because of pride and no respect to older people; who have great experiences than anyone of us. If we done wrong, we have to accept instructions and embrace advices; they are like healthy foods, keeping us away from diseases.

About life

My Favorite Quote is-

"Everyone Dies,but not everyone lives"
-William Wallace

This is my favorite quote because it incorporates how although everyone will die, but not how everyone lives life to the fullest. Everyone was given life, what you do with it is your decision. But we should always act as if today is our last, because it could be. Take risks, make mistakes, because what you don't do today, could effect what happens tomorrow. So always do what makes you happy, help others, because in the end its what you did that matters. Always live life to the very fullest.

Make a new path
by: Anonymous

'When things don't go your way make a new path and start over'.

This is my own quote. I believe that no one is perfect, that things don't always turn out the way we wish they would so instead of dwelling on the past and trying to figure out what went wrong, I tell myself to make a new path and start over. That way I won't sit around feeling miserable about things.

Recently, I tried out for a new job, I really wanted this job but I was turned down because they wanted someone with more experience. Instead of being upset, I got up, said thank you for the opportunity and I left. I went on trying for another position and this time the interview went better and I got the job!

I deal in pet loss, and it often intertwines with human loss when I talk to people on the phone. Our lives are too, too short to be spent on such petty disagreements over religion, color of skin, etc., when we should be focusing on working together to help those less fortunate.

We are all different, and that's what makes life, the world, and our cultures so interesting. We should celebrate it, not kill over it. I believe we can make a difference, and it is never too late to start today.

Whenever I would want to give up on something, he would always tell me "I can't never got anything done" and I would want to try harder to do whatever I was trying to do at the moment. It's true and makes a lot of sense of what he said I know it's not "fancy" but it was straight and to the point. "I believe in getting into hot water; it keeps you clean."
- G.K. Chesterton, English author & mystery novelist (1874 - 1936)

Making a mistake isn't wrong...as long as you learn from it and put it in the past!

Quote
by: Breanne

"Furthermore, we have not even to risk the journey alone; for the heroes of all time have gone before us; the labyrinth is thoroughly known; we have only to follow the thread of the hero-path. And where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god; where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves; where we had thought to travel outward, we shall come to the center of our own existence; where we had thought to be alone, we shall be with all the world."
(Joseph Campbell)

I love this quote, it has the feel of the dark night of the soul to it, but the light at the end of the tunnel.

Life
by: Yuliya Sh

My favourite is

"Try to live each day as it were the last day of your life."
(Author unknown)

It reminds me to see the beauty of every moment of every day : rain or snow or sunny day; reminds me to love my beloved and never be angry or upset with them; reminds me to feel that every moment is unique and doesn't matter if it's a good one or not.

Live life fully
by: Amber

"Live life fully while you're here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You're going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don't try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human."
(Tony Robbins)

I love this quote because it reminds us not to take life or ourselves so seriously...to be ourselves, take chances and LIVE!

Leading as a woman
by: Melody

My favorite motivational quote:

"If your actions inspire others to dream more,
learn more, do more and become more,
you are a leader. "
(John Quincy Adams)

It's not really a new thing anymore but I'm a woman with quite some power in my hands as I get to lead groups and make decisions everyday. This quote has inspired me to always check on how I lead and it reminds me that I should always be womanly--that is being an inspiring person.

Do good
by: Kate

"Go into the world and do well but more importantly go into the world and do good."
(Minor Myers Jr.)

I think this quote is really inspiring and reminds me of what the important things in life are. Yes, go be successful and do well but don't forget that the important thing is to do good. Remember to do good no matter what path you follow.

A Life Inspired...
by: Aliya D.

My favorite quote is:

"Be the change you wish to see in the world..." (Mahatma Gandhi)

And:

"Soul and body have no bounds..." (W.H. Auden)

The first and second quote are related to each other. I love the first quote because Gandhi's life and beliefs inspired me... I strongly believe that you chart your own course in life; nothing just comes to you, you must work for it. Including change. If you see something horrible, wrong, unjust... DO SOMETHING! Nothing will change for the better unless people are willing to sacrifice their own time, efforts, money, blood. Put yourself out on a limb and take a chance, pay your blessings forward.

Since I was 16, I have lived by both the philosophies in those quotes. I have challenged myself to travel and experience things that most people balk at. Thrust myself into situations outside my comfort zone...

I have volunteered in refugee camps, with NGO's and recently with the military as a translator. I have been to Tanzania to help set up schools and programs for children coming out of war-ravaged Congo, facilitated communication in southern Afghanistan, protested for freedom of the press in Russia, helped build homes on Native American Reservations in Canada and the USA, etc. etc.

Favorite Quote
by: Judith Rachmani

"Tis a lesson you should heed:
Try, try, try again.
If at first you don't succeed,
Try, try, try again."

(William Edward Hickson)

I suffer from neurofibromatosis type 1 which, in my case, impedes the ability to create and maintain memories. For example, when I began to learn to read in the first grade, I discovered that it took me ten times as long as my classmates to memorize the phonetics. My teacher always used to say, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again" and, of course, I tried again and again until I learned to read.

There is an upside to such learning disabilities. We, who are used to devoting enormous amounts of time and effort to learn each skill, don't give up quickly when confronted with a difficult new skill. The brighter students know that they learn most things easily but they also know that they are not geniuses and cannot master super-complicated skills at all, so they tend to quickly abandon tricky areas of study that they don't understand immediately. While the plodders, who find every area of study difficult, keep on plodding until they finally succeed.

Mirror Images
by: Shirley Hodge

My favorite quote is:

"We have met the enemy and they is us."

This was a quote by Pogo the Possum who lives in the Okefenokee Swamp in southeast US. Pogo was just one of several animal charactes created in the comic strip by Walt Kelly in the 1940s. The strip reflected Kelly's own philosophy of down-home common sense which he transposed into his swamp denizens. This particular quote keeps us mindful that sometimes we are our own worst enemy.

I created this quote as I think that you should listen to others' sayings but believe in yourself, in your own inner strength.

Freedom of Speech
by: Jo

My very favorite quote is......

"I may disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
(Evelyn Beatrice Hall)

It always reminds me to take a step back when I don't like someones opinion and remember that they have the right to think or feel that way. Freedom of speech is something that is often taken for granted, but is so special and important.

by: Stacey

My favorite quote:

"One day a caterpillar thought it was dying. The next day it turned into a beautiful butterfly and flew away."

This quote means a lot to me because I've been suffering with daily migraines and headaches for six years. This quote helps to remind me that I may feel terrible and feel like giving up today, but tomorrow may bring something incredibly beautiful that I would miss if I did.

Rising tide
by: Doris

"A rising tide raises all ships" is my variation of "a rising tide lifts all boats"
(attributed to J.F.Kennedy but it is used earlier than that)

I'm working in a positive, creative and 'rewarding for all involved' environment where people and companies that associate and work with or work for us also benefit from our success. It is mostly women involved and everything is targeted for improvement and betterment in what we do on a daily basis.
