Motivational Ideas
~ Keep On Going ~

Need a boost of motivation? Here are some motivational ideas for you.

Do you set a resolution every year? I guess it has been a habit to make one in January and to forget it around June, haha. It’s normal when excuses overcome our desire.

So, what do you do when you feel tired, lazy or unenthusiastic?

I believe that if god created a ‘fall’, then there is sure to be a ‘bounce back’. So look nowhere, kindly review these motivational ideas here:

1.Organizer

Motivate yourself by adding the quotes that inspired you in your organizer or daily planner, hand phone or PDA. But the most important thing is the deadline for your goal. It can create the sense of urgency and hopefully motivation for you to reach your goal.

2.Reading

This does not limit to books, magazine, newspaper, websites, online articles or even your children’s story book. As long as it inspires you, why not? Let the wisdom enlighten you if you’re feeling unmotivated.

3.Posters

Have you browse through the free printable posters I specially designed for you? Print, frame and hang the posters at any place that you will see them often. Let the motivational quotes remind you to be persistence on your goal.

4.Wall decals

Wall decals play the motivational role too, but in a much larger size :). Get the instant boost of confidence and power whenever you see the motivational message on the wall. Chalkboard wall decals are even more flexible as you can write down your goal and any quotes that you like. Change the quotes at anytime you want. Motivation gets creative and trendy.

5.Desktop wallpaper

Free wallpapers with motivational quotes are available here too. Just save it and put in your computer or notebook. I hope they will motivate you not to lose faith in yourself, your goal and your life.

6.Listen to music

Tune in to your favorite songs, the songs that will make you feel happy and energetic. You may also check out the motivational songs in this site. Sing it! Download the ringtones. Let the positive lyric and message encourages you all the time.

7.Game

Remember the carrot and stick game? Set both the reward and punishment for yourself when attaining your goal. When you reach a milestone, pamper yourself with a gift. Otherwise, if you fail to push yourself to work for your goal, punishment time: Double your hard work!

8.Imagination

Do you often imagine achieving your goal and having the things that you want? For instance, picture the slim you, visualize your dream house (I purposely pass by and look at my dream bungalow every day, ha). The more you imagine how happy you are when dreams come true, the higher your spirit to pursue the goal. Try it.

9.Role model

Is there anyone that has achieved the dream that is similar to yours? Take him/her as a role model. Learn his/her attitudes, efforts and qualities that are required to succeed. Believe that if they can do it, you can too!

10.Hypnotize

I know nothing about the mysterious hypnotize. The hypnotize I mean here is to tell yourself: ‘I can do it!’ every day. Keep boosting your confidence and motivation by applying this small step and see the magic appears.

11.Courage

Is leaving your comfort zone makes you discouraged to move forward? Rewrite your goals and the reasons you want to achieve it on the paper for at least 10 times. Remember that this is your dream, and this is the challenge that you have to take to fulfill your goal. So, step out with courage.

12.Seek support

Tell your friends and families about your goal. I’m sure they will support you generously in each and every way. They may keep an eye on you too when you tend to be lazy, ha :)

13.Online group

Join the online group or forum which shares the same goal with you. Members with the same interest and target can easily understand and get along with each other. Share the ups and downs, your motivational ideas, encourage and chase your dream together.

14.Change the venue

Your daily effort of pursuing your goal does not have to be dull and boring. Try changing the venue of your routine. For example, if you jog to lose weight, try to jog at another park. If you are building your website, bring your laptop to a nice coffee shop instead of working at home. I think a change of place will uplift your mood and interest to carry out your routine.

15.Stay healthy

Although motivation is an emotional issue, but physically fit and healthy is important for you to act on your goals. Vitamin B is famous for energy boosting. So do include the foods that rich in vitamin B in your diet, such as banana, milk, egg, whole grain cereal, spinach, fish and so on. It can also create good moods for you.

16.Be optimism

Sometimes we stumble. So take a break, do the things that you enjoy: sing, exercise, shopping, watch comedy etc. After releasing the disappointment, do remember to lift yourself up. Treat failure as a motivation to push you towards your goal.

17.Focus

When people critics that you can’t do it, stay focus on what you’re trying to achieve. You can make a sign stating: No discouragement allowed. Hang it in front of your door or clip it on your memo stand. Remind yourself not to give in or give up.

18.Declare your goal

Have you ever gone up a hill or mountain and shout out your goal as loud as you can? We often see this in movie only but not in reality. So next time when you need encouragement, try this and you may experience a boost of motivation.
